All About BOS/ Grimoires

Starting A Book Of Shadows/ Grimoire [Grim-war]

What is a Book Of Shadows/ a Grimoire?
A BOS or Grimoire is a personal journal that a person or persons who practices witchcraft uses to write down various things about their journey in witchcraft and the magical arts.
What Do I Put in it?
Firstly, there is no rule for what you put in your personal BOS/G. This is up to you, but usually you would write down spells you've made, rituals you've done, dreams you've had, how to make different items such as oils, incences, herb jars, etc. Some other ideas can be personal journal entries, poetry, art, flower presses, collages, and anything that makes you happy as well. If you work with The Key of Solomon, you should also right your personal experiences with experiments and contacts with spirits/ angels/ demons.
Is it Okay to Share my BOS/G?
Usually, most people keep these items to themselves, but if you know you aren't going to be judged for what you have in them and are open to sharing with a close friend or family member or person you trust, you can do so. After all, it is your BOS/G. You own it. If you work with Black Magic and The Key of Solomon, I would suggest keeping your rituals and information secret unless you are working alongside another who will not judge you.
Here are some examples of grimoires/ books of shadows/ texts that can help you learn more:
